My Commitment to the Basset Hound

Our main emphasis is on producing Basset Hounds that mirror the ANKC breed standard,

and we continually strive to breed for excellence in temperament, soundness, movement and type.

We do our up most to produce healthy and highly social puppies that will make themselves at home in any environment. 

We take a lot of time in researching pedigrees, bloodlines and genetics, before any breeding occurs.

On enjoying dog shows

We go to dog shows, first and foremost to have fun!

I spend time with my daughter Nichole and the many friends I have met through showing.

We spend time with the Bassets, and “win or loose” enjoy our day.

We admire other Bassets and breeds, and obtain knowledge from longtime breeders.

On getting that ribbon!

It is nice to win the ribbon, but it is a shame that many people who show dogs, think the prize is a “sheep station”.

(When did it stop being fun?)

I am competitive and like to win also, but the levels some will scoop to is beyond belief!

I will with integrity intact, NOT do the same as others do to me.
